Wardour Castle is close to the small Wiltshire town of Tisbury. It lies 15 miles west of Salisbury. It was built in the 1390s and fell during the English Civil War.

Join me as I explore these ruins and see the remaining sections and fabulous spiral staircases.

thanks very much for your video, really friendly staff when I visited, dog friendly, wished I'd seen your video before our visit, the sat nav did indeed take us down some very narrow roads, (not dirt tracks but nearly!) I thought we were going to end up in some random boggy field, however when we got there "worthwhile" . well worth a visit.

I read that there's an underground passage from the castle to, I think, the edge of the lake. I've only ever found one reference to it. Possibly it was a convenient access to the lake.
