My former guitar teacher (virtuoso for a world famous band) went to check out white lion when they were coming up and said his mouth dropped when Vito hit this solo. Only one thing was different to how you play it, and that was Vito only plucked the first note, then tapped the rest.
I could only play it once cleanly.

Tons of people can nail solos. But you can make the tone sound like it did on the album which is another great skill. Combining the skill of nailing the solo and having the ear to know the effects and tone is amazing.
