Dryer Heating But NOT Rotating? Is Your Dryer Heating but Not Turning, I'll show you the 3 Most Common Causes and how to fix it! 1 - If your dryer isn't spinning, it could be the dryer drum jammed, we'll check that! 2 - If you can hear the motor running but the dryer drum not spinning, it could be a drive belt problem, we'll check that too! 3 - Finally if the dryer motor is buzzing but your dryer drum not turning it could be a dryer capacitor problem, we'll check it!

great video and saved for future repairs, when needed, and yes those capacitors are nasty stuff, be careful folks! I know from experience ;), actually got a "sting" from one while trying to repair my garden water pump, it was "good morning

Many thanks, found that the felt lining between the drum and door had knotted up in one spot and was causing the drum to bind and was very difficult to turn by hand, removed the knot, which freed up the drum, its back working

Hi my bush td3cnbw will not spin it only works when I push it by hand I can't find a capacitor on it any ideas what's wrong with it thanks

Hey two questions:

1)
To discharge the capacitor, what parts of the capacitor do we actually touch to each end of the pliers?
2)
My dryer has a slightly different issue: without any clothing I press start and it will work fine. If I put even a couple articles of clothing in, it wont start. Makes a noise maybe will seem to begin spinning for a fraction of a second and then abruptly stops. Any ideas?
