I like how they removed the echo but you can still hear it in the background and enemies allies can as well. It makes sense to have it deafened up close as it's more realistic for actual sniper gear. Also I think it helps to hit shots better because the rapid boom noise that the original shots made would sort of be distracting, and now that's removed.

i feel like te higher pings actually helps them to do these headshots and everything, it also makes the sound more pushed from eachother (?) so it's really nice example of them as well
