My main issue with CC being named Evan is that it doesn’t really follow the naming conventions of William’s other children - Michael and Elizabeth are very traditional names, while Evan isn’t so much traditional. It is technically a biblical name like the others, being a Welsh version of John, but it’s much shorter than the others and didn’t rise in popularity until the late 80’s, about a decade after he was born.

Personally, I tend to disagree with the theory that CC's name is Garett, primarily because I don't think it'd make much sense for the name to be revealed in such a simple way. FNAF doesn't usually hand out theories on a silver platter (..not counting things like dittophobia) so I don't think it'd make much sense for them to basically be like "wow the community hasn't solved this characters name yet. Okay, well, let's just give it to them. Easy enough."

the whole Afton family has old-school british names. therefore, I'd assume a british name, either. something like Andrew or Noah.

I never liked the name Evan, I definitely believe his name atleast start with a G due to Gregory (having design parrallels) and Garret (movie stand in). So names like Gordon or George (George being a name to a British King similar to Elizabeth's name)

Chris is more of a fandom name, specifically used in the Gacha community (or at least had been used, now Evan is mostly used), also the image of the Frights character named Chris that you showed, he has a striped shirt, dark gray and light gray too... totally not coincidence.
Also, fun fact, the Terrence in the series you mentioned is actually sometimes used as a 4th Afton child in people's FNaF AUs or Michael's second name.

Norman is an odd one, really. I don't want to say it's a valid name to use as canon for the Crying Child but it makes sense why people assume it is. Much more sense than Chris or Evan anyway. And yeah, it is the experiment room, not his room. Unless... that's William's bedroom and his second name is Norman/j

CassidyVictim/BV5th, woo! I used to believe that, good ol' days. I honestly would see Cassidy = Crying Child much more narratively satisfying ngl, but then again- Cassidy is most likely a girl in Games and is the 5th spirit of MCI, not a seperate spirit from MCI like Charlie.

Gregory oml- I completely forgot about that. No, I don't believe he's a robot. Is he the Crying Child? Maybe. Is he meant to at least represent him? Absolutely. I feel like it's undeniable that they're meant to look similar. Also... the band-aid is actually on the bottom of the knee in the art and on Gregory it's on top of his knee... but we don't talk about that. Still a band-aid on the left knee.

YES yes and yes, the D, which would result in "evad", backwards "dave", which is the fake name of William. BOOM. And I also heard there's a second part to it which is "is Springtrap", so Dave is Springtrap, William is Springtrap, Willtrap confirmed (as if it wasn't already).

GARRETT!!! YEAH!!! It is the canon name!!! Totally. Just kidding, it's not entirely confirmed, it is the likeliest, but there are notable differences that are off-putting for some people and it's understandable. And yes, Abby is coincidentally (or maybe not) an anagram of "Baby" and a nickname for "Elizabeth".

I saw one theory that used the foxy grid to get the name Ness and, honestly, I’m not fully convinced that Scott didn’t name the Bite Victim Ness just to screw with MatPat like he did in the movie. Plus, that would mean that the name of MatPat’s character was also the answer to one of the most glaring questions in the franchise.

I personally just call him The Crying Child, since that’s what everyone (in the fanbase) called him in FNaF 4.
