Shogo my man a big and long katana would give your kancho the wrong idea! Jokes aside it's best if you talk to him about it to see if he would really want a new katana, it would be a shame if all that money went into something he doesn't even use. You can also give him a wakizashi since it's quite unique and symbolic of the ryuuha. otherwise stuff like a new dojo shrine or katana stand etc can also be good
