West fears China is pushing 'Status Quo' in Kyiv; Zelensky fumes, rejects 'compromise' with Putin

Mykhailo Podolyak, the advisor President of Ukraine, has responded to the call by the Chinese government's special representative for a ceasefire in Ukraine. Earlier, it was reported that the Chinese envoy urged his European counterparts to push for a ceasefire in Ukraine by "recognising the occupied Ukrainian territories as Russia's". Responding to this, Zelensky's aide said that any "compromise scenario" is not acceptable to Kyiv.

If Zelensky is not happy to cede territory then he should fight to get it back. If he can't then he should accept the reality that Russia is not going to return any of the seized land.

Does Zelensky's adviser not realize that to not cede those territories will mean Russia will simply keep taking more territories? Not only that, but the people in those seized territories hate the Ukraine government and want to secede.

Everybody knows that the US owned Ukraine as its 51st State and any peace proposal with have to be negotiated and agreed by the US and not Ukraine . Period !

China could say Ukraine keeps its territories but last year . Too much has changed . The regions voted to join Russia and are part of Russia now . There is nothing much anyone like China can do .At least not immediately . Zelensky went wrong on ending peace talks last April when he still had those regions . No matter what the West may say it is Ukraine that has refused peace talks not Russia or anyone else .

China did not sign Minsk Accords. China is asked repeatedly to help get peace for Ukraine. China comes up with peace plan allowing for the fact Ukraine violated the Minsk Accords. China gets attacked for offering up a peace plan. China was asked to get involved.
