I expect to take delivery of mine in the next few weeks. I have never owned a mini before and test drove the regular f66 s some time ago and I was really impressed. I can't compare to previous models but I don't see why the new f66 should get so much negativity. It drives fantastic, looks fresh and even a bit sharper and modern, and the new interior feels very spacious for such a little car. I am a fan!

4:45 No, we don't have to accept, that in a JCW we don't get proper exhaust sound. We don't have to accept that the world is faking every thing possible. We don't have to accept screens instead of physical buttons. Have you tried adjusting the aircon or turning off the auto start stop on a slightly bumpy road? Does your finger get freezing cold when you want to do a couple of things on that screen in low temperatures? It is a great car, but there are things that need to go - from my perspective as a F66 Cooper S owner.

As an owner of a 2022 JCW Sport I was invited by my local Mini dealer to test out the new one. Personally i like the looks, the proportions look a tad bit better and i love the design of the lights too. I dont mind the excessive use of fabric in the interior. However the fabric used on the dash and doorcards feels very rough and cheap. The infotainment is kinda slow too. Biggest deal breaker for me would be the absence of physical controls for air conditioning and the absence of manual transmission as an option. So yeah, the design is awesome, driving dynamics are great too but it just doesnt feel good when you start interacting with the car like an actual owner would.

Sounded more like an advert for MINI than an unbiased review.

Bought the Jet Black JCW over a month ago and I drive it every day with a smile on my face. It's quick and solid. Driven every type of car in my 43 years of motoring and this goes up there with the best for different reasons.

Seems like a very lazy offer IMO. Where are the big brakes? Where are the other visual enhancements that differentiate it above a Cooper S Sport or whatever it is. Get the feeling BMW don’t really care about the MINI brand that much these days. Should have more power, it’s still got similar power to models from years ago.

I’d still take a 1st or 2nd gen JCW over this everyday.

Firstly this car is uglier then the older ones, but also this car is way too civilized, a JCW is supposed to be aggressive and a bit mad, this just isn’t, and the noise being pumped through the speakers as a lot of cars are nowadays is the final straw 😫

should‘ve shown how the car sounds from the outside….

It appears that some of the negative comments stem from individuals who have neither test-driven nor owned this exceptional vehicle. I would advise disregarding such critiques. As the proud owner of the new JCW Mini, I can confidently say that this car is nothing short of outstanding. It consistently garners praise from those who see it, and I am thoroughly impressed with the innovative direction Mini has taken. The cutting-edge technology, minimalist design, and exceptional performance and handling make it an absolute joy to drive. This car truly stands out as a remarkable blend of style, innovation, and driving pleasure.

Unrelated sharp back, emptied out interior, no hood intake, single exhaust.... what a joke.

Had from new an R53 Cooper S, R56 Cooper, F56 Cooper S, F56 JCW, F66 S Sport. Got my F66 JCW last week, it’s the best one of all of them. Better ride, better refinement, great technology. Obs not opened it up as it’s brand new but I did 4000 miles in my F66 S Sport and they proper grip and handle just like a mini needs to.

It’s horrid. The inside is ugly. That horrible big screen and nothing but a cheap looking cloth behind the steering wheel is utterly horrible

Nice enough but no manual option is a real shame plus the lack of physical controls will not age well IMO
