I'm really fascinated by the background of this anime. It's really extremely beautiful. The drawing of the characters is also beautiful.😍

I know many will say Your Name is the better film, but for me Suzume is my personal favorite of Makoto Shinkai’s movies, it just hit me more emotionally, especially during the end, the ending scene with Suzume and her younger self had me crying. Suzume is adorable, and you really feel bad her for having lost her Mother, and nearly losing Sota, and you root for her throughout her journey in this film. I’ve seen this movie three times in theaters, and while it is now available for streaming on Crunchyroll I cannot wait for the Blu-ray release.

This movie is not a romance, don’t see it as such.
This is a movie about the 3/11 disaster, the lives lost and forgotten. This is a story of healing, remembrance and acceptance after tragedy. It reminds people of the fractured Japanese countryside, and the people living there who experienced this. People who lost their families, friends and loved ones. This movie gives the Western world a deeper understanding of the 3/11 tragedy, and more importantly, a universal lesson about coping with trauma and loss.❤

I really hope that this film is shown somewhere near me so I can see it in the theater. I know that afterwards I'll be a wreck from crying--I'm crying now just from watching a trailer and this AMV. The music is hauntingly beautiful, too. 😭💔

my personal headcanon is that suzume completed highschool and moved to tokyo for university and to be closer to souta. They travel across japan to close more doors and end up together.

I am glad that I am an anime fan, if I was not, I didn't get the chance to watch this masterpiece.❤ (I know know, some of you will say that to watch this you don't have to become an anime lover you can anytime watch it if you're interested in it.)

"O divine Gods who dwell beneath this land... You have long protected us for generations... Your mountains and rivers that we have long called our own... I return them to you!"

Meanwhile Daijin : suzume..return me with your hands...😖

Souta is really such an ikemen. It's a shame that handsome hunk had to spend most of the movie as a tiny three-legged chair. Well, at least he got stepped on by a pretty girl, that has to count for something.
All jokes aside, beautiful work. Great editing.

I remembered that I cried in the Movie Theater whilst when Suzume said "The world without Shota is scarier than her own safety"

The Movie teaches me the meaning of living and loves
