Grado's headphones have souls, not just a normal headphone.

We wanted to show you our headphones and cartridges being handmade here in Brooklyn, and with hours of extra footage from when we made headphones out of whiskey barrels, we made a little video for you! Thanks to Andrew Kalicki for editing this together in such short notice. Have a good weekend everyone!

That was a good move on part of Andrew to include all the frequencies and types of sound in the audio track. SR80e play all of them perfectly.

Love that video. Looking forward to this channel expanding. Love my Grado cans, teetering on the verge of a cart. I want to extend commendations to both of the young men who have decided to walk in the footsteps of the previous Grado men. It will be most interesting to watch the direction you steer this beautiful ship as you take the helm.

Wow! This snippet was really well thought out. It has all the neat little markings that characterize their own sort of aesthetic. You guys have some part of every craft that contributes to the finishing of the gear. The leather craft, the carpentry, coil spinning, soldering, the test rig what with older analog oscilloscope, it’s awesome! The perfect look to compliment the goods! Can I get a job?!

Absolutely amazing insight! I hope the production process doesn't change as well. I look forward to watching part 2! :)

Should I buy sr80e or sr125e? What is the difference please?

Make a closed back headphone or a headphone that in general does not leak a lot of sound.

I'm bored cause they always mention about the Grado "happy family" had a fruit store etc, good they're a happy family but actually i don't care and (as a grado fan) didn't bought all my grado 'phones & cartridges caused of that.
I will really appreaciate if they'll show us and talk about how the build the hi-end cartidges & headphones, how they make / retip the styli and other more important things than the family story!
They also (almost) don't mention the founder Joseph Grado, the one who tought John all the secrets and hold all the paterns that grado company is proud for!

Good show video. But the true is: it's all made in China.

Grado has a big issue in 2016, because they design a $700 pair of headphones in the same manner that justifies the $60 pair, which they have designed in the same way in 1960s and continue designing now. No one sees problem with that?
The equivalent would be Ford designing same trucks now as they did in 1960s, with same brakes, tyres, suspension, engines, fuel consumption, safety and comfort levels, materials etc. In other words, you would scream — unacceptable! Yet Grado does just that!
Grado headphone usability, construction quality and design in all models above $60 is abominable compared to what the best of US headphones industry can offer today. I won't even compare them to the Japanese, or Danes. Grado's design and tuning is from another era; only their pricing is modern and undeserved.
Grado headphones are tuned for certain (older) folks, who like certain genres of music and certainly cannot hear many frequencies, nor such music uses that frequency band. Put Ella Fitzgerald, yeah, they sound good. But put some more modern music on Grados, and then listen same music on a pair of Philips headphones (that cost one third of Grado's prices but are ten times better designed using superior materials, are more robust, etc ), and you ask yourself, "What on Earth Grado is doing?"
Grado is slack and lazy, just what an American company should NOT be, and their owner wants you to listen Eric Clapton and Ella Fizgerald forever. And drive 1960 Ford pickup truck too, I guess.
