Bravissimo! Pieno di sostanza, come sempre. A few notes:
1. It's so good to have a series focused on Dante's Catholicism/Christianity. He's so often secularized, but the whole point of book II & III - is that there is MORE, and infinitely more, than the secular experience and world view. You've already expanded my understanding of the Comedy manyfolds in just a few years on this!
2. Partly same as above, the Beach showing that there are more to the world than the wonderful delights of classical culture and secular culture. This is another decisive point in what Dante is literaly dedicating his whole Comedy to.
3. Focus on the great liberation from sin, not the struggle against it. Great point.

And the ending drives home the point again from Cato; Greek Culture and music are great things, but much bigger and greater things are waiting for you!

😊😊Grazie Tom per il lavoro che stai facendo con tanto impegno e profondità. Io ho fatto il liceo classico e Dante non mi é nuovo. Anche dopo tanti anni, alcune terzine che leggi mi suonano familiari. Mi rendo conto ascoltandoti, che da allora non mi é rimasto altro che il suono delle parole. Il mio professore di italiano, un professionista molto in gamba e colto era dichiaratamente ateo. Non ha saputo trasmetterci la immensa spiritualità della Divina Commedia.
