Drk.

If the hourglass is red they want to be dead

If the hourglass is grey they should be ok.

Once the red guy raises theres no more surprises.

Is also customary for GNB to use its invulnerability just after being given benediction. Just to see if the whm has been paying attention.

They heal themselves, got it! *proceeds to glare mobs into oblivion*

"Think fast chucklenuts" *uses the superbolide macro that also deactivates the invul*

Please note that this doesn't necessarily hold true for certain levels. A lower level Warrior, for example, doesn't yet have the kit to pop their health bar back to full in a snap and will need help.

It's important to know the different effects or "buffs" of LD, the icon changes depending on how far along in the invuln the drk is

Hyperbolide, otherwise known as the 'make healers shit themselves' button

As a Gunbreaker, I find healers tend to appreciate a macro that announces Superbolide is being used.
As a white mage, I also appreciate such macros on Superbolide. Of all the emergency buttons Tanks can use, I think Superbolide is the one that benefits the most from this.

As a DRK, I hardly even bother using LD unless I know I'm going to die in the next volley of hits, because even when I literally ask the healer to let me die, they never listen and just spam heals.

Quick resume:
Pala, don't heal him, best invul 0 damage.
GNB, Heal him a bit, let the aurora do their job + GNB Excovitation
DRK, He gonna top his HP with his own healing.
Warrior, This guy is a healer, why y are playing healer too?

I appreciate it when drk tells you that they're using living dead. It gives me more time focus on dmging

Please note: pld hallowed straight up says "prevents damage from MOST attacks"
We can still die from certain things such as doom....

I ran with a DRK late night one day through the historical amdapor hard and they were so happy for me letting them die during living dead.
Little did they know... I was sweating because I played Scholar and gave Eos some CRITICAL sideeye... somehow they actually died in the last tick of their hourglass timer.

Keep in mind also that Gunbreakers have a health regen move, and a move that gives them a buff that restores their health on the attack. If that regen is up when they drop it, they should be fine.

Another tip to include. If the tank says “Hey, I’m gonna use Living Dead/Superbolide this pull. Let my health get low.” Listen to them. I’ve had quite a few healers that just go into spam heal mode when they see me not using mitigations because I WANT to get low, and warned them about it, but they disregarded said warning
