@ 2:05 I DELIBERATELY miscalled the 9 of Clubs! Please watch the entire explanation of the trick to find-out why! ;)

I would've liked to try to memorize the five cards in the beginning, but the index of the second card caught a light glare both times

So great that you give us all the presentation tips Jay - unlike so many others on YouTube who focus entirely on the mechanics of the trick. We all know how ANY trick performed badly is crap and almost ANY trick performed well is awesome. Please keep up the good work.

Excellent.
And I was all set to call you out on missing the 9 of Clubs. LOL

I've genuinely never come across a magician on youtube quite like you, magic is a hobby of mine but it's people like you that make me want to pursue it more & more everyday, so thank you for being a brilliant mind

Jay is such a humble man with a great skill. Not magic but communication. He explains everything so well and in a fun way. I'm sure big companies envy his communication and presentation skills. I'd love to see Jay here in the UK. Any chance Jay?

I love the simplicity of this trick. I was ready to give you crap for missing the 9 of clubs but then you explained that it was just a ruse to make it more believable. Brilliant!

GenIUS!!!! I actually took a memory class, and became good at it, so I was legit trying to memorize cards. So the beautiful thing about this trick, like most mentalism tricks, is the misdirection of the mind. I was so focused on how to memorize shuffled deck that I didn't realize there was a trick behind. So loved the blurred lined between possible and impossible

Re: your newsletter. This is why I love your channel! You're not some regular ol' guy in a top hat, pulling rabbits out of your.. hat. 😁 You're thought-provoking and philosophical and I LOVE IT! Not only do you teach us kickass tricks, you encourage us to really find the meaning and solutions of life's quandaries in a creative, quirky, and HILARIOUS way. You've taught me to really look at things because they aren't always what they appear to be the 1st time around. Also, sometimes we shouldn't take ourselves too seriously. You, sir, are an inspiration!
You know, if this whole magic stuff doesn't work out, you could always be a motivational speaker. 😉 *THANKS, JAY, FOR ALL YOU DO!*

Jay...you are a amazing buddy...found your YouTube channel about a month ago and I am completely hooked. Particularly the coin magic which I think is just so accessible for someone like me who has always been in awe of those guys who can even do some of the simpler stuff. Always loved magic as a kid but being a child of the 70's growing up in England the how to books were so difficult to get hold of, and I struggled to make sense of the diagrams. Suffice to say my interest waned...until I found the channel...I'm now consuming everything I can about coin magic on YouTube and am looking again at the books with a new understanding. Best of all today I found that my local magic store stocked "Revolutionary Coin Magic" by one Mr Jay Sankey. Can't wait to watch and re-watch all 155 minutes of it. Just wanted to say a huge thank you for reigniting that feeling of wonder about magic i had as a kid.

Jay, this is ridiculously clever and simple. I have done all sort of complicated mentalism over the years and never came across such a simple and powerful presentation. I plan to put it in my mind games show. Thank you for posting it!

"But if people feel it - really FEEL IT - didn't the magic really happen?" The feeling is the magic. So few things in life can elicit THAT feeling. I recently was able to witness a stage magic show. The magician had been performing for over 20 years and even though I knew how every trick he did was done (or had some inkling as to the method) it did nothing to diminish the childlike sense of joy and wonder I felt watching him perform. I saw several grand illusions that night, but in my heart, I felt real magic. Every time I show somebody a new trick, I want them to experience the feelings that I did that night. They might not even realize they're feeling it, or understand how to process what they're feeling, but if I can look into their eyes, see that "glint in the rabbit's eye, " then I know that I have done my job.
