I would try also shopping at Marshalls/TJmax/Ross for some dog supplies too, particularly dog toys because they are generally cheaper than Petsmart/Petco, especially if you can catch them on clearance!! Lucky you to have such an affordable local pet store, my locally run stores are overpriced 😔. Also I would recommend getting a crate that he will grow into (basically a crate that will fit him in his adult size). The trick is to get a crate with a divider and as he grows, you move it further and further into the crate to accommodate his growing body, until you don't need it anymore. So if you can, return the crate and exchange it for one that has this. You will ultimately save money because you're going to have to get a new one anyway in the coming months. Just some advice from experience.
