“Python is not recognized as an internal or external command” is a very common error encountered in the command prompt of Windows. This error is caused when Python’s executable file is not found in an environment variable (it is not added to PATH).

You may have installed Python without adding it to PATH, not to worry, I will show you how to add it in 2 minutes. You don’t have to uninstall and reinstall anything!

Why Should You Add Python To Path?
Adding Python to PATH makes it possible for you to use/run Python directly from your command promt (also known as CMD or command-line). In simple terms, you can run your code from the Python Shell by just typing "python" in the command prompt.
