Donnie Iris started as the lead singer of the Jaggerz, using the name Dominic Ierace. They hir #2 in 1970. In the late 70s he joined Wild Cherry as a guitarist, after they had already had their lone hit with Play That Funky Music. He took the stage name Donnie Iris after going solo He had three minor hits in the early 80s and continued as a local success in Pittsburgh.

My favorite song of the 1980's!!! I could play this song in a loop! Another song reminds me of this song would be "Jessie's Girl" by Rick Springfield. Both song came out in the same year 1981. Check it out😊
