Always loved this track. It might not be one of their usual electro numbers but it shows that there's a great set of lyrics behind the tune...and a tongue in cheek video too. That's why these guys are a National Treasure.

Wow - I'm surprised to find this album is not all that popular. I fecking love this album! It has some of my all time favorite Erasure songs on it: Perchance to Dream, Where in the World, Catch 22, and this one, Freedom! And if you have the Moon and Sky Plus disk, the Moon and Sky - JC's Heaven Sent Radio Re-work mix I actually like a wee bit more than the original album version. Love it!

Only no.27 on the U.K. singles chart. Yet Pet Shop Boys and Depeche Mode continued having top ten hits into the late 90's/early 00's. A very subdued and experimental record, Loveboat is the most underperformed and underated Erasure album. Period.
