4 Best Hikes in the Pyrenees France & Spain 🇫🇷 🇪🇸 Road Trip

Показать описание
Hiking in the Pyrenees mountains of France and Spain, Europe. We spent 4 days in a road trip traveling and hiking in the High Pyrenees (Hautes-Pyrenees or Altos Pirineos) of France and Spain—in rough November weather. As it was our first time visit there, we wanted to get a diverse list of trails, so this video features our final selection of the 4 best day hikes. Two of them are on the French side, the other two—on the Spanish side. These hiking trails best showcase the wild and naked nature of the Pyrenees.
The first one lies in France, and it's a hike to the "lake of lakes" in the Pyrenees–Lac de Gaube (8 km loop with 400m elevation gain). Then, a visit to the majestic waterfall at Cirque de Gavarnie (11 km loop with almost 800m of elevation gain), which is part of the UNESCO World Heritage Site Pyrenees Mont Perdu. On the Spanish side, Aragon, we explore a true hidden gem—the 15 km loop (almost 1000m of elevation gain) to the valley of Aguas Tuertas, the Secus mountain, and the grandiose Castillo de Acher. Last but not least, the Ordesa Valley and a hike to Faja Racon with a dizzling detour to the Tozal del Mallo (15 km with 1400m elevation gain). This video includes also some travel tips and where to park your car at the trailheads.
