Sony a7sii vs a7III Auto Focus Test. In this video I compare the new Sony a7iii to the a7sii. If you are on a gimbal, then you understand how valuable the auto focus is. I wanted to see if it's worth buying the a7iii because of the auto focus alone.

As I was running this test, I also discovered that the color science has been improved on the a7iii. We used Cine4 Pro for all this video.

What happens when there are multiple people in their video? who will it focus on in they are all at the same distance? Also, does the a7iii have tap to focus screen?

A7SII has better colour science to my eyes, better greens, more cinematic and less noise reduction giving a filmic look.

My A7Sii keeps saying the EYE AF doesnt work with my lens. I have tried 2 different lenses now. Also it crops as soon as i get in video mode? Help aprecciated

hello. I using the sony a7s mark 2 and using a sony 24-70 G series. I have face detect on and I am continuous auto focus . Focus area is set to wide and and have set it to centre. Real big issue I am having is that background shudders, focus hunting whenever the subject moves during an interview. Its not noticeable on the viewfinder or EVF but when I get back to my rushes you can notice and turns the shot. I have had to revert back to manual focus for the time being. Any ideas what is going wrong ?

Hi Marcos, how do ND filters impact Phase Detection Auto-Focus (PDAF)? In day light, outdoors, working 1.8 apertures to get great shallow depth-of-field, we need a ND8 or higher ND filter. How does this impact to Sony a7III Phase Detection AF?
