I was on dialysis for 8 years and a half. It had its very tough moments. I remember going to watch Abominable along my mom back in the first days of October last year. It was such an uplifting and beautiful film! I came back home and I was feeling in full extasis of happiness, it once again reassured me that even though I had been on dialysis for so many years, my life was beautiful in every single way. I was feeling thankful, truly happy, and moved =)
One day later in early morning I received a call from the hospital: My long awaited kidney transplant had materialized finally! The stars alligned and now, 8 months later, I feel as good in energy and health as I used to in my mid teens :))
