ALL of us were shook when we heard the song—but not in a bad way, more in a OMG IS THIS REAL kind of way 😂 I think Rosé knew we were expecting a ballad, so this definitely took us by surprise. Love how fun it is though! And of course, anything Bruno Mars touches turns into GOLD.

I did not expect a fast-paced song because Rose solo songs were always very serious and introspective. But that she can write a song like "On the Ground" and "Gone" and also write "APT" makes me just so impressed. She co-wrote this song and pitched this and 2 other songs, to Bruno, once she found out that Bruno was one of the big stars in her new label (Atlantic). Bruno got on board and thus we have this fun collaboration. Rose is dropping a full 12-track album on December 6th -- all co-written by her and co-produced by her. And I am so excited.

Apt has a double meaning in the song. It’s slang for apartment, but it’s also a Korean drinking game which we kinda hear at the start.
