‘This is Modi magic’: Jaishankar celebrates Navratri with 50 foreign envoys in Gujarat | Watch

India's external affairs minister S Jaishankar and 50 foreign envoys and High Commissioners celebrated navratri in Gujarat last night. They witnessed garba in the culture capital of Gujarat, Vadodara. S Jaishankar kicked off the celebrations by doing aarti. News agency ANI spoke to many envoys and high commissioners who wished and thanked India for letting them experience the festival. One envoy even called it 'Modi Magic'. As an Indian, isn't it simply great that many foreigners love our wonderful traditions & rich culture plus an emerging superpower, this is the way we build influence, friendships, soft power etc in the world. This is the Indian way - we don't believe in being hegemonic, intimidating other countries, stealing their territory, attacking others or starting wars, debt-trapping them to then be able to exploit them etc but when we can also help others in the world, we will do so for purely philanthropic reasons & nothing else! This is why many countries around the world sing our praises now as we see not just in this video but also witnessed at the U.N. General Assembly meeting recently.
