Yet another great soundtrack upload, young Fred!

This time Miklos Rozsa's superduper score for that excellent and greatly atmospheric film, Billy Wilder's "The Private Life of Sherlock Holmes" from 1970, which I have seen several times.

Great actors, cracking screenplay, and wonderful, brilliant score.

A great favourite, both film and soundtrack. The violin concerto has some deeply moving music, unjustly neglected.

Billy Wilder & Miklos Rozsa, what a great combo! This soundtrack is beautiful, evocative, & interesting music for an evocative, interesting, & atmospheric film.

My favourite Rózsa score with Ben-Hur and, probably, the best Holmes film of all times. Simply wonderful!!! Thanks Fred!!

Miklos Rozsa the Composer of the Epics. Quo Vadis, Ben Hur, El CID, King of Kings to name just a few of his epic works.

Long promised... and finally: Miklós Rózsa's original recordings for the Billy Wilder picture!
The material you will hear is far from sounding good, but the composer's quality doesn't let us down at all (like usual)!
Enjoy Rózsa's superb score, including excerpts from his Violin Concerto, op. 24 and a little bonus directly at the beginning of the video. Hope you like it!

The score is so good. Possibly the main reason I like the movie so much#

Thank you Fred for bringing us this soundtrack! I'm glad you used mostly the original score rather than the violin concerto although both are wonderful! I'm glad you included the scene with the Maestro conducting Swan Lake.
I had the original poster for the film but it was stolen many years ago along other movie items when someone broke into my house.

Jahrhundert!

Reminds me a little bit of Sibelius. Great movie! The beginning i think is out of place, but great movie anyway. Love the part of the morse code with the umbrella.
