Boston Pops July 4th Fireworks Spectacular

The 2024 Boston Pops Fireworks Spectacular returns to the Hatch Shell on the Charles River Esplanade. Under the direction of Keith Lockhart, this year's show presents an impressive lineup of guest artists, including Tony-Award winner Kelli O'Hara, country band The Mavericks, and Motown superstar Darlene Love.

THE FLAG WAS LATE during "The Stars and Stripes Forever" . . . I thought I had missed it . . . that's the first time that has ever happened in all the years I've been watching this yearly performance - it looks like someone had to go up there and SHAKE it loose. You can hear the flag being released, but a camera wasn't even on it - better luck NEXT year. ( the confetti seemed to be a little off in it's timing, too ) I always listen ( after the "flag drop" ) to hear the piccolos through ALL the instruments as loud as they can be - they did good. The smallest instruments in the orchestra can STILL be heard LOUD and CLEAR. Well, I'm glad someone put it on YouTube, so I could see what really happened in a "rerun" . . THANKS !!!

Thank God this is back on cable. While not as good as the A&E broadcast this is still infinitely better than the butchered CBS condensed one hour broadcast that wouldn't show the entire 1812 overture. Because half of the broadcast was fireworks there was less than a half an hour of the actual pops concert. I understand a network can bring in more viewers but when they produce a sub standard product that is counter productive. I can't believe it took the Boston Pops 15 year to realize CBS was never going to air the concert as it was meant to be scene. As soon as a Boston Pops FB was created fans screamed for years to move the concert back to cable. The last CBS concert was so bad it resulted in no national concert for a few years,

2:04:30 Remember when this is when the flag was dropped and the confetti which ACTUALLY MADE IT TO THE AUDIENCE started? When fireworks short from behind the hatch shell? Remember when this was the highlight of the whole show.... I just don't get it... :(

That was very nice. And the fireworks weren’t bad. Only lacking idk artistry? in Spain we do better. Also the having fun part 🤷🏻‍♂️.
