GHS: Globally Harmonized System

GHS is a standardized process for hazardous material identification and control. It's a new way of looking at an old program/process. A key element with the implementation of GHS is the change from MSDS to SDS. This video DOES NOT replace Hazardous Material/HAZCOM training. It simply was assembled to provide Sailors and Marines with an overview of GHS and to discuss some of the changes that will result from implementation of GHS. It will discuss the reason for GHS and the alignment with OSHA requirements. The Naval Safety Center wanted to do something a little different with this training spot that was a little fun and wasn't excessively costly. Enjoy.
