The Nintendo Switch 2 will be a new next generation system and a successor to the widely popular Nintendo Switch console but with a new console comes new features, gimmicks and characteristics to make it unique and set it apart from its predecessor. What can the next gen Switch 2 add to be different and overall better than the original Nintendo Switch? Check out my wishlist of 20+ features I would love on the next Nintendo system here!

What features do you really want to see on the Nintendo Switch 2? 👀

My wishlist of features:
-Music for the home menu and eShop
-Home menu wallpapers with their own music
-An eShop that doesn't run at 10fps
-A social media platform like Miiverse
-The return of Flipnote Studio or an application like Flipnote
-Jingles and themes for games and software that play when you select them on the home menu

Basically, I want the same charm on the Nintendo Switch 2 that the DS and 3DS systems had.

I 100% am with you about HDR. People don't understand it until they see it, good HDR on a display makes a world of difference. Games like DOOM Eternal, Forza, Final Fantasy look incredible with it.

This is essentially my Switch 2 Wishlist:

- Improved Switch Icon Customization for NSO menu!
- Expanding the Classic Games for NSO (i.e., Virtual Boy, GameCube, DS, Wii)!
- Nintendo Music app for Switch 2 (optionally customizable for your Switch menu!)
- In-Game Chat/Messaging with Switch Friends (not tied to phone)
- Themes for your Switch UI (Purchasable at the NSO app!)
- Folders (in akin to WiiU/3DS)!
- Miitopia-style Mii customization for Switch (very unlikely, but would be awesome if that can be implemented somehow).

I agree with all of the points from the vid, but I also have some extra ones:

1. Bring Flipnote back (and the stylus)

2. Bring the Miis back (Miitopia 2, a proper Switch Sports with ALL the sports, Tomodachi Life 2)

3. Have a camera for AR functionalities like in 3DS (keep experimenting even if it doesn’t stick)

4. Keep the infra-red sensor to keep experimenting like with LABO and 1-2 Switch

I want some sort of game that comes along with the system. Something like Nintendo land or something. Even a basic tech demo would suffice to be honest.

tbh a return of download play would be neat.

You know what they should do for achievements? Create a system like the trophy rooms from smash bros. You would collect trophies of characters and items from the game that you get achievements in, but instead of just a list, they could have a really fun room you could go into, and maybe organize them or at least just go through and look at and read little facts about them. Then they could let people look at their friends trophy rooms. it would be so cool!

My main wish was shot down long ago. I really just want a console with analog triggers. In truth, I'd love the adaptive triggers from ps5 but that's _never_ gonna happen

A better battery life isnt seeming likely but I'd like it.

Better theming would be huge! Music, backgrounds etc. Just a better UI.

Hall effect would be great but I dont believe those rumours much.

If the "C" button is a cast button as rumoured, that would be _awesome._ I love my DS and 3DS games, and having them on an updated system and on the big screen eould be great.

As much as I would love them to finally use analog triggers for their next system, I have doubts that they will considering what we've seen of the system so far based on that one trailer. And that really sucks, because some games need analog triggers for proper immersion. Examples of this would include racing games, shooters and of course: Gamecube games, if they were to release them on Nintendo Switch Online.

i want some the new 3DSes features. slide on color change for joy cons, actual themes not just white and black.

You are getting confused between HDR and OLED here! OLED is what makes blacks "true blacks" and colors more vibrant, HDR however (High Dynamic Range) makes it so you can have bright whites that feels real, like a super bright sun on your screen instead of it being just white!
