I grew up and served during the Cold War in Europe. Combat AO was the Fulda gap, dead-center for those know. The old hands and cool heads are gone. The friends who met at the Elba, the back-channel well-wishes for holidays and families between adversaries are no more. Red phone comms between the US and the Kremlin reestablished only weeks ago after nearly three decades of dormancy.

Our politicians are leading us directly into nuclear conflagration - Armageddon. Why are they doing this and why are we allowing this?
