Your story reminds me of a experience i had in Ghana. I am also an Adventist, we used to go Hiking in Ghana. In 2010, we went hiking it was six miles so inn and out was twelve miles by walk. In the middle of the journey people started crying because of tiredness, my legs were swollen. It wasn't easy but it was good experience for me.

Hello Tif, I'm from Brazil and I recently discovered your channel and I'm absorbing a lot of learning from you.
Once, my family and I traveled to my grandfather's house in winter, the first night we slept on the farm, it was so cold that even with lots of blankets we felt a headache from the cold. We woke up very early with my grandfather opening all the windows wearing a t-shirt and we didn't even think about getting out from under the covers. It was an experience that we still remember and laugh about today. Thank you for such a noble action of teaching.

The girls in my family which we are five sisters and my three daughters went up-north of the Detroit city called the Upper Peninsula of Michigan on a road trip. We rented a big, family car and head there. It took us 6 to 7 hours drive, give or take but we made it, eventually. After enjoying our walks, hikes and enjoying the nature. We started a bonfire at night and it was a chilly, but we tried to cover up with coats, towels and wore heavy socks along with drinking warm tea or hot water...Couple hours later, it was time to sleep. We had our sleeping bags ready so we tucked in and each had the pride to admit the coldness but I had to yell out, "I am going to the car, I can't take this cold surface anymore?" so I took my kids and stayed in the car. After couple of minutes, all sisters coming into the car like zombies, frozen like snow-women but lovely like the night vampires. Just playing. It was fun, different yet exciting.
