Razer Chroma Addressable RGB Controller Unboxing

- Why MOLEX instead of SATA Power? - "SATA has a power limit of 54W (4.5A x 12V) max. This controller handles 60W - even if we artificially limited it to 54W, that's still at the very limit of what SATA can deliver with no headroom. Molex can typically handle 13A x 12V = 156W"

Razer employee here, I wrote the spec for this product. SATA has a power limit of 54W (4.5A x 12V) max. This controller handles 60W - even if we artificially limited it to 54W, that's still at the very limit of what SATA can deliver with no headroom. Molex can typically handle 13A x 12V = 156W.

Little late to the party, but FYI - ASRock now makes a couple of Razer Edition motherboards that have their onboard lighting control via Chroma (the headers and the lights on the boards themselves). I've got a custom loop with ARGB in the CPU, GPU and distro blocks, plus some ARGB fans, and absolutely everything in the PC is controlled via Chroma now. The dream of actually having only one piece of software to control all your lighting is finally a reality. It only took, what, most of a decade?

Actually, I think the main Issue is, each Port of the Controller is limited by 80 LEDs and 240 in sum. The second Issue is, that, when I do remember correctly, each Lian Li fan has 40 LEDs, so three of them chained makes 120 LED for each Port, so it might or should not work as preferred.

Can you daisy chain fans and plug one end in the controller?

question: Bro i have b450 tomahawk max it only have 4pin/ 12V header. Can i connect Argb fan hub with deepcool 3pin to 4pin controller and Sync Argb fans For controlling with softwere??? BTW Nice video bro 😍😍🥰

You need to take those 2 fan chains off a splitter and put them into their own ports. Then you can organize them in the software to mimic your actual setup. Then you can have waves of light go at angles or up and down entirely. Once it knows where they are and the orientation, Your global effects will work like a a crazy corsair setup without having to spend a grand on fans, LED strips, and controllers.

Hey bro, just a quick question. Razer ask us to plug all their equipment directly to the PC or Laptop, but how if you have not enough USB Hub in your PC, any suggestion for USB hub that can handle razer peripherals?

I personally used a molex to sata adapter cable from CableMod. No need to install a separate molex cable to PSU.

I have the same problem as you had at 4:16 .. i pressed the 'Game Sync'-Button now at least 100 times, but the MSI Products dont start glowing up.
Do you have a solution for this, or what settings did you put your programs in?
