Morning Andrew, I'm envious of your opportunity to be able to talk to the media, it's a shame I don't have a channel to voice my opinion on the whole budget debacle. I'm afraid many I've seen commenting so far haven't really hit the mark.
This rubbish that a small proportion of farms are affected is ludicrous. Most of the farms I know around us in Bucks are affected. They have included all the people with enough acres to be a holding but not actually a commercial operation. And for the government to say they are protecting family farms, I'm desperate to ask them which ones exactly. They keep saying that the ones affected are estates, not sure you could call our part of England an estate. We are 180 acres, my father in law is in his 70s and now we are looking at finding £500k out of the blue when he dies, maybe we should wrap him up in cotton wool and hope for the next 5 years!! Our 180 acres turns over £100k on average so even if we would borrow the money which of course we can't we would never be able to pay it back.

Thanks for all you do Andrew, we all need to do something about this, I'm not sure that driving tractors through London or even using the European approach will work here, we need to keep the public on side, not do a "Just stop Oil" on them. Good to see that GB news are sticking by us. To quote Steve Reed from his Facebook page "The Conservatives sold out our farmers. Labour's New Deal for Farmers will boost rural economic growth and strengthen Britain's food security " hmm
All the best

Great update Wardy. I am in 100% agreement with your comments and the £1m just shows how clueless Labour really are.
I thought things were going to be hard with the loony left in power but had completely underestimated just how bad.

Another great update, I haven't seen partridges in my village for over 20 years. Lovely to see some making an appearance in your updates. What a surprise to find a robin in your car!
Farming in Britain needs to be protected better than how Labour is going about it, doesn't make sense why they think farmers are wealthy, it's all assets not liquid cash. Incompetence on all levels, they just assume farmers with land and expensive machinery have bulging bank balances. The village I live in has two farmers, one of them is run by the son, a worker and the father who still works at 85 years of age! The other is a solo farmer.
I think the speed in which the petition has been picked up just shows how much the public support farmers of Britain.
Food security is so important to the country, Labour has got this catastrophically wrong.

Good Video as always, good to see everyone united in the comments, We need to keep banging the drum for farming and eventually might get them, (the government 😡) to listen. But We do need the public on our side which I think we have. United is the only way to get the message across. London is the place!!

Really great update, phenomenal media coverage, congratulations! Labour really are incredible in their short-sightedness. It’s a failure to realise that a farm doesn’t operate in isolation, and what impacts the farms themselves will have a roll-down impact on businesses that supply them like machinery suppliers and companies like Spaldings you featured a week or two ago. Their policies will also impact on motor dealerships in the area like Chandlers and Duckworth who supply KGM and Isuzu. Nice to see Michael and James but aren’t they fairly young, the very kind of people who will be impacted by changes in inheritance tax? Labour have made themselves as popular in the agricultural community as a field of blackgrass…

Morning Andrew, another great update. Some interesting content in this one, I hope people see this and realise how farming is crucial to our own future to be self supported. Hopefully with videos like yours, Olly's and all the others where you show to us how important farming is, there will be enough support to make government ministers listen. Really good to see the English partridge, I am sure the balance of hedgerows, margins and wild meadow mixes are supporting a growing number of them. Good to see Freemans loading beet, they are not far from where I live. There could be an opportunity for a manufacturing company to make the beet grabs they have on their machine. Thanks Andrew, looking forward to the next one.

Evening Andrew, once again I don’t think much of other farmers/ bloggers on you tube
But as always you are the voice of reason and always find myself agreeing with you, can’t we get you into parliament and have you advise the government on farming/rural matters.
Cheers stu.
