You persuaded me to get this watch and i’ve loved it everyday since. Thank you, Nick!

Really these high quality quartz watches are simply superior to mechanical watches in every possible way... All they are missing is the prestige of mechanical. I personally derive a fair bit of joy from the mechanical nature of my watches but for pure functionality quartz is superior.

Okay, the perfect sync between the seconds hands on the T2 and the S1 is SOOOO satisfying. It makes my soul happy.

Does it bother anyone else that the Steel watch is the T200, and the Titanium watch is an S100?

Nick got me into Oceanus. I started with this one and then bought the S5000 Manta, and most recently, I bought the P2000. Amazing watches for the money. The Zuratsu finishing is right up there with GS.

It never ceases to amaze me the sheer amount of bang per buck the Oceanus line has, not to mention the beauty of these watches (yeah... I admit, I'm a sucker for anything blue...).
My grail watch still is and will probably remain a Grand Seiko with SpringDrive movement, but Oceanus definitely will be right next in line...
And to be completely honest, I could probably be happy with an Oceanus as my only watch for a loooong time.

Thank you, Nick! On the basis of your review I got this as my 60th birthday present to myself. It gets a lot of wrist time, and I love it more and more each time I wear it. Gorgeous watch.

I hope they continue to iterate and improve on this series. Been meaning to pick up the previous version, but now I’m undecided. Really wish they made the current version in titanium, but the steel does look very good anyway.

My dream watch. I've been a Casio fan boy for approximately 2 months and been into watches for about the same time although I've worn a paw-1500 for 8 years now. I've never noticed how cool watches really are!

I gotta say half of my love of your video reviews is your voice, and I absolutely cracked up at the 8:26-8:45 mark, "$500 bucks for a quartz watch, you bourgeois bastard..." - coffee straight through nose...

Just beautiful. I will pull the trigger on this one, my first quartz. Excellent review. Also, it is now available on Amazon for 432.00. Gotta love the bluetooth...just in case the fools in charge stop the Denver radio.

I have Rolexes, Cartier, IWC etc. I bought this because I live in Mexico City and you can be invited to depart from your watch in any corner. I didn’t expect much more than a practical watch. Boy was I surprised. This is not accurate, it is the perfect time every second of the year because it updates with the satellite or your phone. It has perpetual calendar. It can let you find your phone by using the button in the watch. It is beautiful; just stunning. It’s the best watch I’ve had.

Hey Nick!
I just wanted to thank you for introducing me to watches!
Just got a beautiful Speedy on the 20th for the 50th anniversary of the moon landing (which happens to be my birthday too)
Without you I wouldn't have gotten into watches ;)

You might even say that because it’s a JDM, there’s an ocean between this watch, and US...

Nick, I have to post a thank you for this also. The Oceanus filled an important gap in my small collection. I tend to be a huge fan of JDM watches to start with, and while I had a great main watch, travel watch, and backup watch, I wasn't completely happy with my dress watch (Seiko SARB 035). The SARB was beautiful, reliable, durable, and reasonably accurate (actually I'd say amazingly accurate for a mechanical watch that cost me under $400) if I wore it constantly, but it I took it off and wound it to keep it powered, it needed to be reset more than once per week, and the lume just wasn't all that great. Enter the Oceanus T200 (my version has the grey dial and came on a leather strap). This is dress watch perfection for someone who loves JDM quartz watches and actually expects their dress watch to be pretty much as functional as their other watches. I bought this watch based largely (though not quite completely) because of your reviews (I would never have known the Oceanus line even existed if it weren't for you), and I really love this watch. So thanks, your info helped me make a great purchase that I'm now in love with.

Nick, you've sold me! I had my eye on this, the S100, and a few other options as my next watch. This looks like The One! You raised an interesting point on what Casio's capable of. I bet they would knock a Spring Drive-type movement out of the park!

Thanks Nick. Mine just arrived today. Synced up to the phone and it's ticking right along. It's going to be so nice not to fiddle with my watch when the plane lands. The inner AR coating is very effective. The weight is so good I'm glad they didn't add the expense of Titanium. Love the look, wearability and functionality. It gets a 10/10 from me but I'm not so picky as some.

Awesome watches like this remind me of that simpler time when one watch did everything I needed.
But no time to reminisce, gotta go down to the vault and pick out a piece to wear for work today, something dressy but not pretentious, with perhaps a playful touch of sportiness, and complements my tie but doesn't distract. And then for the afternoon...
