*Mike Reno (singer of Loverboy) and Ann Wilson (singer of Heart) - "Almost Paradise". Their voices together is amazing!*

Lover boy has soooo many great songs! Need to check out "Turn Me Loose", "When It's Over", "Lovin' Every Minute of It", and "Hot Girls In Love".

I think every radio station played this song on Fridays. They were a good driving along the highway band.

This song has been a regular Friday morning radio song for decades. Often stations would mix in movie and cartoon sound bites to customize this song. Like they would drop a Fred Flintstone Yabba Dabba Doo in there and movie quotes about hating work. Its an awesome song.

I think this song just has universal appeal, and you'd be hard-pressed to find a song with as much staying power. Still played on Fridays on the radio to this day, for good reason. Love it!

As the drummer in a bar band for over 35 yrs, I always loved playing this song. It's uptempo, catchy and OF COURSE, the crescendo drum fill (even though my kit was not as big as Matt's) was MY TIME to shine!! Any excuse to let loose.

That drummer is killing it like nobody's business.

Amber & Jay - another great Canadian band you should react to is April Wine. I'd recommend "Oowatanite", "Like a Lover Like a Song (Live)", "You Won't Dance With Me", "Tonite is a Wonderful Time to Fall In Love", "Just Between You and Me", "Say Hello", "I Like to Rock" and definitely "Cum Hear the Band".

Came out in the early 80"s. This song was written by the guitarist Paul Dean, but his version was "Waiting For The Weekend". When he brought it to the band, Mike Reno, the singer, was the one who said they HAD to change Waiting to Working, and 40+ years later, it's still one of the most played songs at 5pm on Friday afternoons.

Jay and Amber, these guys were definitely big in the 80’s and when MTV actually played music videos. Other songs to check out by them are “Hot Girls in Love” and “Lovin’ Every Minute of It”. They also had a number of ballads that I know Amber would probably love with “Heaven in Your Eyes” being their most popular.

Saw them live in the 80s. Such a cool, polished, fun band.

This song plays every Friday at 5:00 on a classic rock station along with a few other songs about the parting and the weekend .

Glad you got back to these guys! Here's a few to consider "Lovin every minute of it", "The kid is hot Tonite" and the one I think you guys should do next "Queen of the broken hearts". It has an awesome groove to it. Some more Night Ranger would be great as well. "Don't tell me you love me" or "You can still rock in America". Keep Rockin you two!

The song that inspired more speeding tickets than any other on the way out Friday night. The lead singer still lives in BC CANADA In 1984, he performed a duet with Ann Wilson of Heart, "Almost Paradise", for the movie Footloose

My college band played this song as the first song, every time, as a warm up song. Our vocalist didn't know about vocal warm ups, but our audience didn't mind.

This song was released in 1981 just so you know. I so looked forward to hearing this song on the radio come around Friday mornings before starting work or just taking a refreshing shower at home after a long day at work getting ready to go out Friday night! those were the late 80s for me. I'm 66 and have been listening to rock and roll for 50 years. This is definitely in my all time top ten. It's one of few that I could listen to over and over and not get tired of it.
