Get rid of your UGLY moss pole and use this instead!

Moss poles are the go-to suggestion for monstera plants, but sometimes it is difficult for your plant to attach to the moss pole. Watch as Claire Akin, from the Houseplant Resource Center, shares the new alternative to moss poles.

Having a shaped trellis encourages your plant to climb. Giving your plant the trellis structure to climb on allows them to get more light and provides more support to your climbing plant’s root system.

The Houseplant Resource Center Trellis Set comes with 2 shaped trellis pieces. One is an oval shape, the other is an arrow. Made from stainless steel, they will not rust. Your plants will begin to climb, be healthier, and provide an eye-catching alternative to the common moss pole.

Is there any moss pole alternative for large plants? I have a monstera that is about 4' tall, and it doesn't look like these would be tall/strong enough. Am I stuck with moss poles?

Hi! I 'm from the Netherlands. Could you please send a link where I can buy these metal supports here in the Netherlands?

I bought a pair of those sticks with dry moss like you showed for my small pothoes. Immediately the plant started dying and dropping leaves so I returned them! Ha! It is OK with a homemade one with mesh and spagnum moss stuffed inside but watering is a huge hassle, holding the pot carefully angled over the sink and getting just the pole of moss wet! #facepalm
Your stainless steel ones will be looking much nicer in my pothos soon! :D
