Way better acting & story lines then Hollywood. Definitely worth it.

I started watching Turkish dizis in 2016 and have been to Turkey several times. The programs show a lot of history, culture, action and family values. The story lines are kind of predictable but fun to watch for the drama and the actors/actresses are good-looking. It's a great way to learn the language because you have English subtitles and can hear how words are pronounced.

Here in India 🇮🇳 Etrugrul, Uthman are super popular amongst youth although the government of India have banned these shows but yet people are watching them on VPN and USB Sticks.

In Italy too. It took the Ottomans a few more centuries than they originally planned but they finally conquered Western Rome. I'm Italian and I can't go nowhere without hearing a Turkish name I would need at least 3 years to learn how to pronounce correctly. My grandma is watching a Turkish drama and she call the actors "that one" and the "son of that couple" "the sister of the one that went to jail" "the wife of that one" cause she can't pronounce those names either, but she is stubborn and she keeps watching all those turkish dramas anyway.

Turkish series producers put a lot of effort into their shows: the story lines are sometimes predictable, sometimes surprising, but the actors are superb, they wear beautiful clothing - or story appropriate clothing, the settings are beautiful, there are romances, historical stories, fight scenes, family values, humor, intrigue, - there’s something for everyone and the new series and new seasons will start in September. They also feature Turkish cuisine and good manners and more often than not-there justice is served.

Turkish dramas are the best. I was astonished when I watched "'The Magnificent Century'' about Sultan Suleiman. The costumes and professionalism of the actors amazed me. TV show based on the history of the Ottoman Empire was incredibly intense and beautiful.

The shows are relatively clean, meaning no nudity or sex scenes.

The stories are fascinating and well-written, and the guys seriously hot. Kivanc Tatlitug is a great example of a talented and striking male actor. I am American of Greek heritage and have been to Turkey twice -- just enjoyed it and the Turks were so nice and very friendly people.

I must say that as a Iranian I cant help but feel envious about Turkey especially with their soft power influence. much respect from an iranian-american. It sometimes makes me wonder if my country could have had a similar situation and influence on the world, cheers.

I’ve watched many Turkish dramas. They are interesting and the stories are very different from Mexican and Latin American dramas. I definitely want to visit Türkiye, and do a historical tour. Their history and culture is so rich and diverse. It’s a subject you don’t get in history classes. Can’t wait to visit Turkiye! Inshallah!
