When I was highschool and freshly turned 18 I wound up in psychiatric care due to mental health shit and this song was perma-stuck in my head playing over and over. I always come back to it and cry thinking about the emotions that went into making this fuckin song.

This band turned their back on Kurt. He wasn't the band but they were one of the best collectives ever for this style. And unfortunately certain members felt that this style was coming to a close. So they didn't listen with their inside voices and did such. A real tragedy in my opinion because this band evolved on each new record.

I think even though Jonny Craig may be a better singer to most people, everyone who listens to Dance Gavin Dance and A Lot Like Birds will be able to appreciate the heart and soul Kurt puts into writing songs and performing them live. There is no comparing the two singers because they are so different and are each awesome in their own ways. Loving this band right now!
