As a british chap of a similar age to your good self, i really appreciate what you do and how you do it. To me it not only covers the technology that was around in my childhood but it does it in a happy friendly and inviting way, which people of all ages can enjoy. The whole spirit of the show evokes a time when there was less cynicism and things being done for purely for shock value or clicks. I just cannot imagine how on Earth there could be haters for this. I've only dreamed of creating a new Commodore 64 from scratch. Also, I was blessed to have received a Commodore 64C for my 16th birthday in 1987, from my dear old dad. I absolutely LOVE that you did the case in the style of the 64C. In 1989, I was in college learning electronics. Everyone in the class got a TRS-80 color computer kit to assemble and keep. I don't mean to brag (much) but I was the first person to get their kit assembled. Not only that, mine was the only one that worked. My instructor asked if the school could keep it for classes since it was the only one that worked.

For making replacements of these old chips, I hope more FPGA designers take advantage of the Fossi Foundation. To make a new chip in the form of an ASIC, you submit your FPGA code, and they'll do a large run of chips for free (paid for by Google), including the packaging the chip comes on (if you're happy to go open-source)
