Not only is faster better for charging but faster is also better for driving. Especially in school zones.

As an aircraft maintenance engineer and making batteries overhaul some years ago, one of the methods was charging at the specific nominal voltage for an hour (ex: if battery is 40ah, charging it at 40A for an hour, and then the last 3 hours, charging at 10% of its capacity (topping), no matter what kind of battery is (ni-cd, ni-mh, li-po, etc). This is the best method of charging, yes i know it is almost impossible to make this on the road but…there is other choices 😁
Fake charges gives you fake discharges, phones included.

Slow charging is the way to go. If you want a healthy battery, use the slower charger.

The problem is they are nickel cobalt batteries. The cheaper LFP batteries with no nickel cobalt seem stuck at 85-100kW charging.

Zero chance you are putting in megawatts of power at charging stations. 180ish KW is more than enough for 30-80% charges when you need the odd non-home charging.

The economics of charging is loads of slow chargers everywhere and decent number of high but not insane power fast chargers.
