Here Professor Khamis Elessi and Dr Loai Albarqouni will be introducing us to evidence-based medicine. They will explain the core principles that underpin evidence in our medical practice such as study designs and the hierarchy of evidence.

Bio:
Professor Khamis Elessi is an Associate Professor and Head of the Evidence-Based Medicine Unit, Faculty of Medicine, Islamic University of Gaza. He has a Masters in Evidence Based Health Care from University of Oxford where he is now a Fellow at the Centre for Evidence Based Medicine.

Dr Loai Albarqouni is a medically trained epidemiologist and now a post-doctoral research fellow at the Institute for Evidence Based Healthcare, Bond University, Australia. He is a graduate of Al-Quds University Medical School and has a Masters in Epidemiology from Ludwig Maximilian University of Munich.
