It's nearing the end of the year, so that means Vince Venturella and I have released another 'zine for our game company - Snarling Badger Studios - and it's called SNARL. This year's issue has a new goblin game called The Great Goblin Argle-Bargle and also some add-ons for three of our previous games. I'll talk a little about that and of course, I'll answer your wargaming-related questions. Come have fun!

You are correct about TT Combat being the current publisher of Carnevale. Incidentally, the name TT Combat is sometimes rendered in a rather unfortunate fashion by YouTube subtitles, and care should be taken when pronouncing it.

I buy all your companies products... Even though I've yet to play any of them. Actually I've got all my models for SS0 printed and painted...the hardest part is hush starting it lol.

I will say that compared to buying from GW, a refurbished resin printer and cure/wash station from Anycubic saved me HUNDREDS of dollars so far. Printer, washer/curer, and 3 bottles of resin was $120 after taxes and shipping during a Labor Day sale. Add in the cost of a gallon of denatured alcohol from the hardware store for $15 and I'm at less than the cost of a combat patrol. Already have printed a company for Bolt Action, 2 different ork kommando killteams, a space marine killteam, 2 different imperial guard killteams, a space marine devastator squad, 2 eliminator squads, 2 tactical squads, a jump pack squad, a scout squad, a command squad, as well as several individual characters, and about a dozen miscellaneous specialty ork bosses and nobz. I'd be out many hundreds if I was buying everything from GW (and warlord for bolt action).

All the commenters in chat were wrong - Gunpla is obviously a combination of "Gundam" and the Klingon word for success! :)

They're a smidge on the large side, but occurred to me I could use my Kruleboyz for ARgle bargle. got 20 with yellow shields and 20 with red shields.

I have some plans for a few goblin tribes.

D&D Goblins, Pathfinder Goblins, wargames Atlantic Goblins, and some older Night Goblins.

15:00 MERCS was and still is my favorite game. I agree with your view of the movement card: it was very very clumsy, especially because that's a game played on high terrain density tables. They fixed it in second (and last 😅) edition. The game is near perfect in the second edition and, even though it's dead now, I still own 6 factions and play it a lot. If you can get a couple of starters I would suggest getting them!

I loved seeing the term microgame as I started out playing Metagaming micro games as my introduction to the wargame hobby.

Ral partha was sold to fasa and then to wizkids and was then made part of iron wind metals. I think iron wind retired the branding. At least in the US.

Love all the games you and Vince have created so far. Reign In Hell and Deth Wizards being my favorites so far.

As a fellow fan of the Forbidden Psalm games have you checked out the new Endless Horrors From Between The Stars? Just grabbed my copy from RPG Drive Thru. Great game.

Gunpla is a portmanteau of gundam and plamo. Plamo is a portmanteau of plastic and model. Yo, dawg, we heard you like portmanteaus, so we put a portmanteau in your portmanteau so you can port while you manteau

Your use of the term 'argle-bargle' can not be argued with given the online source you have cited, but it would normally be the height of rashness to take the word of goblins. I must assume your goblin acquaintances are, their combativeness aside, exceptions to the stereotype. FWIW, your pronunciation of argy-bargy is incorrect: the g should be soft. At any rate, I have only ever heard it pronounced arjy-barjy.
