Benne Dose is authentic dish from a town called davangere, Karnataka state. Any hotel from davangere serve you a tastiest benne rich dose. Adding butter to masala dosa doesn’t make a dosa benne dose.

the chutney ain't authentic. It must be a dry mix of coconut, salt and chillies

Very buttery in narrating and influencing the dosa but ultimately what about the cholesterol in the long run. Think about that.

It's Benney with emphasis on na unlike penne. Also Mysuru or Mysore not Mesore.
Authentic people know it's not authentic especially with the shit load of ghee/benne and that podi on idli is too gimmicky (Rameshwaram glorified crap).
We do use ghee/benne/podi but in moderation to not override the actual taste.
