Monopod - Why, how & what is my favorite

At this year’s NAB, I got a monopod from iFootage, and since then I’ve been using it a lot. Check out why I like this Cobra 2 monopod.

There are four versions of this monopod: made of carbon fibre or aluminum; and with the length of 27.8″ (90.5 cm) or 21.7″ (55 cm)

As I say in the video, the head that I got with this monopod is really good too. The Komodo K5 might be the best small fluid head out there – it’s certainly the best one I’ve used. So, if you already have a good light tripod or monopod, but you’re not happy with your fluid head, this one might be for you.

I love that walking shot look more like a Steadicam than gimbal shots do - natural and filmlike.

I love this setup. Been using this as well, using it as a steady cam gives you some authentic handheld vibes and not so mechanical just like on a gimbal. I love this monopod with top handle on camera for run and gun documentary work.

I like the Sirui monopod . Looks similar . A comparison video would be enticing between them and the Manfrotto legged versions

Slow motion footage is already much more stable than the 'regular speed' shot. Would have been more helpful had you not shot in slow motion.

Is this monopod and fluid head good for dslr's? also if you have a dslr with no in built footage stabilization, would you recommend a shoulder mount stabilizer instead?
