Skydio 2 setup and how to fly with beacon

This is a series of key skills that I wanted to test for the Skydio 2 with beacon. With your first test flight make sure you do it in an open space and avoid trying to test it with electric cables in its way

I’ve had mine for a few months. Works great. Make sure you delete memory after 2 flights. Don’t let it fill up otherwise like any computer it will freeze and run into issues.

Leave the SkyDio2 off and connect the phone to the beacon. Then turn on the skydio2 and connect it to the beacon.
That way the beacon can be used AND the app can be used, but your phone is using the beacon as a signal booster.

Oh, and NEVER force a launch before the drones GPS is synced. This set up also speeds up the GPS sync. If not synced, your drone will fly all crazy as it uses bad data to try to find you.

And when set to follow, if you are not moving, it will slowly circle you at the distance it was when you set follow. So if it is 15ft in the air and 30ft away, it's going to try to circle you at that distance and height and have to deal with any obstacles it runs into. If you are in a crowded area, it can get itself into some bad situations if not watched, because the moment you start moving, it will try to get to where it is to follow from and may be in a mess trying to do that. So I always put it where I want it following from BEFORE I set follow, and then, just as a want to start moving, I set follow.

The battery percentage on the becon while drone is flying is your drone battery not the becon battery, I thought the same thing on mine hahahaha great video by the way ! Keep it up!

This freakin Skydio 2 makes everyone go nuts, it happens to me too, i just fly it and it fly away from me, and I am in residential area Park, idk but why the hell this drone do that, so i bought the remote so i can easily control it now.
