You people don't know how to read a person. Arrogant? Yes, but he told him to stop because he was in pain. He realized that everything was true. He was in pain.

As someone who is not good at expressing their feelings, that is EXACTLY how I would have reacted. The pain would have been too much.

He was a good man who was realizing that his own belief was flawed. There was proof of something unimaginable happening, and he wasn't sure how to handle it.
