Pay attention to SMCI itself rather than just the charts. SMCI has a huge factory in Malaysia to open soon. THey got the 1.5 billion dollars from the senior convertible notes offering, another billion from another offer i cant remember, liquid cooling on the way, have virtually zero debt and a fantastic EBITDA, and the ai market for servers is just getting started. SMCI will be fine, this is very very short term.

Unfortunately you missed to mention that SMCI - being listed since 18.03.24 in the S&P500 - is (the same as all other companies listed in the S&P500) required to comply with SEC regulations when disclosing financial information, such as earnings releases. Although the SEC doesn't explicitly forbid companies from pre-releasing earnings two weeks before the official date, strict guidelines must be adhered to. Therefore, pre-releasing earnings has become MUCH LESS COMMON due to market reactions in the past."

Is there any evidence that SMCI, on 3 previous occasions, withheld preliminary earnings disclosures AND subsequently announced they missed earnings and revenue expectations? I sincerely doubt that the skeptics, like yourself, would admit to an emotional over-reaction to "no news is bad news", if SMCI stock rebounds 20-30% prior to the 4/30 earnings call.

Preliminary release of earnings is a terrible practice. It looks like a pump. Smci has previously paid a huge fine for bad accounting so I suspect top management needs a tighter leash.
