Very interesting take. The longer Yormark is around, the more I like him.

Interesting point of view... Huh!? Two separate sports groups! Nicely done, Fitz.

Fitz - you hit the nail on the head. There is a healthy number of teams in a conference for revenue-generating sports. The magic number of teams for a healthy football conference is less than for basketball and there is a direct corollary to both and their impact on non-revenue sports and the value of conference members. We really don't know what B.Y. is thinking other than he has hired the right people to make those informed recommendations to the conference. They've been on the job since October. We're coming up on 6 months with them in position. He has shown he can get inside the decision cycle of Kliavkoff and the PAC-12 and the B1G is looking for a commissioner. He knows the window and timelines (including the ACC's). This isn't just a single fire and forget. IMO, he's developing a multi-year strategy that will bring in the right pieces at the right time for the right value with backup options that are available if the primary options fall through. It's still about fit - no primadonnas (UW/Oregon/Utah) that disrupt the cohesiveness of the conference. If he can figure that all out, the Big XII will be in a great place.
