The films I saw most as a kid:
The court chester (D.Kaye)
The wizard of Oz
A+C meet Frankenstein
The thief of Bagdad (1940)
Sons of the desert (Laurel and Hardy)
The rescuers
The jungle Book (both Disney)
Dudu (german version of Herbie with a yellow VW Käfer)
Im weißen Rössl (german musical comedy)
and of course the Holmes movies of the 40s with Basil Rathbone.
Can't count how often I watched those on VHS.
By the way: I'm 54, when most of the movies you mention in this Video came out I wasn't a child anymore 🤷‍♂️

Just discovered you as I did this challenge a couple of days ago. As one of the older ones doing this I’m thrilled to see you picked The Adventures of Robin Hood, that was definitely a big one for me during my childhood. Great

As a child, I had restricted access to the TV and didn't have a lot of opportunities to go to the movies. As a consequence, I didn't rewatch again and again the same movies like a lot of people. That changed a bit when I became a teen. I watch a lot of Jurassic Park, Innerspace, Home Alone, the original Star Wars trilogy, the Ghostbusters movies, Blues Brothers, and every summer the Terence Hill and Bud Spencer movies, and some Jean-Claude Van Damme--I don't know why it was on the TV every year during the summer break (I'm French), like "Le Gendarme" with Louis de Funès, which remind me of the Fantomas movies that I loved.

They can all say what they want but for me Tim Burtons Batman version is still the best!!!

The movies that made me the person I am today (It's a weird mix): 1. King Kong (1976). I was so enthralled with this movie as a very young child. Probably started my fascination with monsters. 2. Nightmare on Elm Street 4. The first real horror movie I ever saw. Alice was such an awesome final girl and Freddy is the coolest monster ever! 3. Child's Play 2. The first horror movie I saw in the theater at a very young age. Loved it! 4. Dolls (1987). This movie just floored me. I love all the cool killer dolls. The effects here are awesome. 5. It (tv movie). So when I was a kid I loved it and watched it all the time. Not so much now but at the time it was amazing to me. 6. Heathers. Best dark comedy EVER! I loved it. My favorite line from a movie is in this film. I love JD. I love Veronica. It was so cool watching the school bullies get what was coming to them. Still in my top 3 movies of all time. 7. Back to the Future. Simply magical. This movie always put me in a great mood. 8. Mannequin 2. Yes, I said 2. It is just so charming and light and fun. The music is great. It's another movie that just makes me happy. 9. Madonna Truth or Dare. Seeing a powerful woman be that cool and in charge was amazing to me. The music is great and the concert footage is so cool. I love that it's in black and white except the concert footage. At the time, this film felt so adult and a bit scandalous. When I watch it now, it's actually pretty tame by today's standards. Still love watching all these (except Steven Kings It).

These are all fantastic picks! I've got at least a decade on you, but I always liked Jumanji way better than Hook, too. The great thing about Robin Williams is that he brings equal quirkiness and gravitas even to his dramatic roles, and that's on display here. And he doesn't overwhelm the film with his energy--he has great chemistry with Bonnie Hunt and the kids.

These are my Rad 9, aside from animated films (mainly Dumbo, Fantasia, Robin Hood, The Jungle Book, the early Disney Renaissance, and Don Bluth's '80s films):
1. Star Wars trilogy (Return of the Jedi is the first film I remember watching, when I was 3, and Luke Skywalker was my first love)
2. Darby O'Gill and the Little People, because it's just fabulous, but honorable mention to Swiss Family Robinson (I was obsessed with their treehouse!) and The Parent Trap for live-action Disney classics
3. Can't choose between Willow, The Princess Bride, Ladyhawke, and The Neverending Story when it comes to '80s fantasy
4. The Sound of Music
5. Jurassic Park (first PG-13 movie I saw in theaters, age 11)
6. Star Trek 2, 3, and 4
7. Pride and Prejudice (Colin Firth instigated this teenager's hormonal awakening)
8. A Christmas Story, because certain scenes were seared into my memory from being on tv every Christmas, even though I never watched it all the way through until I was an adult
9: It's a Wonderful Life, because I'd seen the ending on tv many times through my childhood, but when I was 16 I was determined to watch it all the way through--thus, an obsession with classic film was born!

E.T., The Goonies, and the first two Indiana Jones films are also up there. Like most '80s kids, Spielberg and Lucas defined my childhood.

1. RAIDERS OF THE LOST ARK
2. THE EMPIRE STRIKES BACK
3. GHOST BUSTERS
4. THE INCREDIBLE SHRINKING MAN
5. KING KONG
6. FRIGHT NIGHT
7. PURPLE RAIN
8. FORBIDDEN PLANET
9. THE LAST DRAGON

There are so many others, but I re-watched these ones the most from childhood until my mid teens I loved the Universal and Hammer Horror films and Jaws and I was obsessed with Abbott and Costello.

Robin Hood it is the perfect adventure film. Hollywood at the very best. The cast, the cinematography and an unforgettable Music Score. A film conspicuously perfect👍

Hint: JAWS is a comedy. Truly hilarious from start to finish. Watch with this in mind, changes everything!

Awesome video! I remembered watching Jumanji as a kid, although I personally liked Hook a bit more. I never seen the first Batman movie, but I have seen Batman Returns and I remembered being interested in that movie! I actually made a Rad 9 list on my channel!
