Please note: This video was filmed with the intention of teaching the art of taking better cycling photos, but in no way do I or does this video condone unsafe riding for the sake of taking photos. If you are uncomfortable or unskilled at riding a bike with one hand, do not attempt any of the tips in this video while moving. Always come to a stop at a safe place on the side of the road and take photos while standing still with both feet on the ground.

This video was filmed in Girona, Catalunya, Spain, on roads without cars and always with the permission of the people in the photos. Please be respectful of the people you're taking photos of, the traffic around you, and make sure never to risk anyone's safety (including your own) - put safety above all else, always.

To be honest, I am not someone who is going to be taking many photos on the bike - I just come for the fantastic and consistent quality of your videos! Keep doing what you love and sharing it because your content is top notch.

Great video! Enjoyed the photography and found myself having to re-watch sections a few times because I wasn't paying attention to the explanation, but the visuals🤣

Dude, I have to be honest - your videos give me envy. I love the sun and cycling, and I live in a country with long and harsh winters in a big city where I have to get through a lot of traffic to get somewhere I can enjoy the ride. I have to find a way to reorganize my life and move into that video. Thanks - not only great photo-taking tips but also inspiration.

Thanks, Tristan, for another follow-up video. I have really learned some good tips and improved my photography skills. I wish I had known about that. Hey Siri, take a picture before, as that really helps. Also, when you're wearing gloves or it's raining. However, with that being said, with the iPhone 15 that I have now, you can just hold a button on the side, which is really nice. It's called the action button and it has one more zoom.

Great series, Tristan. Love your attention to details. But honestly I'm surprised you never mentioned leg postiton and this is kind of crucial in my opinion. It effetcs how body posture is percieved by the viewer. Bad leg angle can ruin even the best photo. Basicly majority of your photo-examples have a slightly bend leg. This makes weird and unpleasent short-leg-long-body effect, it gets even worse with the upper camera angle. My personal trick is to pay close atention to the leg angles. There are two great leg postions: my fav is full down extension (i.e. 6 o'clock) and full bend (knee on the top tube ). It makes body geomtery look the best and adds to overal vibe of the picture. Cheers!

Excellent advice, much appreciated. Great shots, helps riding in Catalonia ! ever dropped your phone? I find them super slippy and difficult to hold securely off the bike, never mind descending one handed...

Best series out on cycling photography, I have learned so much and will be riding later in the day now for some epic light. Question in a few parts when you were taking photos were you hitting the volume button to take so many pics at once?

Interested to know which way round you have your brake levers installed. I feel like grabbing at your front brake when shooting photos could go bad quick.
Loved this series, appreciate you making it!
