Why Is Jesus Called 'The Word'

There's no doubt Yeshua is the Word! But I am sure the Hebrews didn't say the "word" every time they found the name of God in the Bible, instead they said HASHEM (The name) very disappointing when people just make up histories!

That is good, but I take even more from it. When I think of the Word, I think of God creating everything with the spoken word and Christ with the Father bringing it about. I also think of the Word of God being our primary method of knowing God's character and personality. To know the Word is to know the Word (Jesus Christ).

The son is the representation of his own essence .he was not the son prior creation he was the word .

John's prologue went to further to say in v:13; " The Word became flesh and make his dwelling among us. We have seen his glory, the glory of the One andOnly, who came from the Father, full of grace and truth*.
The Son, the Word, is different from the person who of the Father!

John wrote " in the beginning was the word " because John knew Jesus is the Spokesperson of
God from the beginning of creation even he was sent to the World as Flesh.

Heb 1:1-2  God, who at sundry times and in divers manners spake in time past unto the fathers by the prophets,  
(2)  Hath in these last days spoken unto us by his Son, whom he hath appointed heir of all things, by whom also he made the worlds;

The words of God are spoken of by Jesus Christ.

Nothing this man is saying is wrong theologically, but this idea that John was referring to "the Word" as a synonym for Yahweh is just inaccurate. Likewise, "Jehova" is the product of translating the German word for "Yahweh" directly to English from German instead of Hebrew. I'd be interested to see this preachers sources for these claims.

Certainly don't disagree. This is a good explanation. Logos does have many ways that it was used in ancient Greek. Logos never meant person until Logos became flesh. I personally understand logos by this:
If you have never seen me and only no me by the words in this comment thread this is my logos. Before Jesus no one had seen God. Jesus didn't come to make the Son known. He came to make God known. Not reveal Himself as another person with God, but to be the lamb of God that takes away the sins of the world. God is our only savior Jesus is the way to salvation. No man comes to the Father but by Jesus. It is obviously impossible that God is not a trinity and is only one. Good thing for us all things are possible with God

This guy is all presumption, just to get his view. God is One, the son is called the word because he is the spokes person for the Father. The son is also known as the Angel of the LORD, which again means the messenger of God or the speaker for God. The son came to explain who the Father is.
