Pre-33 Gold Coins - $5 Indian Head Half Eagle

Pre-33 Gold Coins aren't really my favorite, but the $5 Indian Head Half Eagle has always stood out as an especially well-designed coin. So I picked one up.

As an American, I think it's a great idea to own these gold coins. Pre-33 gold coins are amazing, and every coin tells a story. It blows my mind that our great great grandfathers and grandmothers were walking around with gold coins in their pockets to purchase things, it's incredible, and what do we have now? That $5 Indian eagle in capsule at the beginning of your video is beautiful

My first few coins were ones passed down from my great grandfather to my grandfather to me. He owned a small local pharmacy and they were coins from the register in his shop. I was given a few Morgan dollars and a $2.50 gold Indian head 1911 coin. They are by far the most cherished coins in my collection because of the history and family connection.

You’re highlighting the difference between stacking and collecting. I rarely buy ungraded pre-33. Plus side is additional gain potential with rarity.

I’m not a jewelry type of guy but I always thought if I were to wear a coin in a bezel around my neck..it’d be one of these pre-33 Indians. The design is beautiful. I definitely don’t plan on buying any pre-33 for my stack though. It sure is pretty though 🤩

1/8th of my gold is Pre 33. I mostly have Buffalo’s but I appreciate the Pre 33 gold with its rich history and usually able to pick it up for affordable prices. They’re just stunning!

Great looking coin, just bought one as my first pre-1933. Not part of the main stack due to price, but really cool design and history and something I can pass down to my daughter. Gotta mix it up once in a while.
