i often get asked whether someone should study law or how to know that law is right for you. it’s a very personal thing to decide and it’s not something others can do for you. but i thought i would put together a video outlining the reasons why i studied law and the skills and info you need to study it too. hopefully this will help you to know whether studying the law is right for you. best of luck for your journey and i hope you find a course and career that you love.. in the meantime, i’ll see you next time...

I definitely agree with you, Chelsie! A study of law requires a lot of patience as you need to deal with lots of cases, stuff related to basic, like main points of law. Moreover, (frankly speaking from Russian law academy) sometimes there will be lot’s of situations where a professor couldn’t explain the material properly so you struggle to find right information not the «ancient» one. That’s the thing: to be a lawyer means to keep up-to-date information, that is know about all the amendments and changes in legislation in all / mainly all areas of law.
Really nice and beneficial video, Chelsie❤️. Also want to add in order not to intimidate future students: It’s ok not to be satisfied with your major. It’s OK to change your major. It’s Ok to keep studying on this major even if you already knew that this is not that you going to do in the future. All things happening - your experience and no matter what - you can go through it and make your own path! Just don’t be afraid 🤍

Hi Chelsie,
Nice and valuable content. Can you list alternative options for law degree? What are those non-law career routes, that might bring decent income ?

I want to study law and become a lawyer one day, but my communications skills are still lacking. I'm entering law school next October and I'm a bit worried I won't have enough confidence to really do my best. What should I do? Greetings from Belgium.

Almost 40 and only ever had admin, call centre and finance jobs... I'm enrolling in Legal Services this year for more reasons I can describe here... It's not the money, it's not even the job. I'm excited to outsmart the cops and stand up for the little guys 😊

If I want to become a barrister, I can do an undergraduate course, then take the law exam and doing pupil ages, etc, right? Is a masters degree typically for people who don’t want to be a lawyer?

Helpful, thanks. I'm not competitive so maybe law is not for me. I would fight to the "enth" degree to right a wrong, but generally and with peers I celebrate their achievements.

Wait, one question. Are legal documents written from scratch, or are written following a format, that is slightly edited to suit the circumstance??
